Product Description:
PUR (Reactive Polyurethane) hot melt adhesive is a solid at room temperature and needs to be heated before application. It is a single-component, solvent-free thermoplastic structural adhesive that achieves a high initial bonding strength through physical solidification. Upon exposure to moisture in the environment (from substrates or air), the adhesive undergoes a chemical reaction and crosslinks, curing into an elastomer. After curing, it provides enhanced adhesive strength and excellent resistance to moisture, heat, and chemicals. It combines the environmental benefits, quick bonding, and high strength of reactive adhesives with the elasticity and high-temperature, low-temperature performance of polyurethane adhesives. Due to its high reactivity and excellent adhesion to various materials, it is widely used in many applications.

Pre-Treatment:

• Preheat the adhesive at 120-130°C for 20-30 minutes.

• The surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry, and free from oil and grease.

• The recommended dispensing temperature is 130°C, with air pressure controlled between 2-6 Bar, using a 19-23# nozzle. Higher temperatures and air pressure will increase the dispensing volume. Pre-dispense 25px before application.

• The adhesive has certain pressure-sensitive properties, providing extended assembly time.

Cleaning:

• After dispensing, allow the adhesive to cool to room temperature before cleaning off excess adhesive.

• Any uncured adhesive residue can be removed with a blade.

• For cleaning the dispensing area, use common cleaning solvents (such as toluene, acetone, etc.). Ensure the adhesive residue is removed before curing.

Precautions:

• The adhesive should not be reheated multiple times. Once opened, it should be used within 48 hours, and the total heating time should not exceed 48 hours.

• The application temperature should not exceed 140°C.

• Exercise caution to avoid burns.

Storage and Shelf Life:

• The product should be stored in vacuum-sealed aluminum foil bags, in a dry environment, and at temperatures between 15°C and 25°C.

• The shelf life of unopened product is 6 months.
