Description:
UR 6101B is a reactive polyurethane hot melt adhesive (PUR). It is solid at room temperature and must be heated to a molten state before dispensing. This single-component, solvent-free hot melt structural adhesive achieves high initial bonding strength through physical solidification. Subsequently, it reacts with moisture in the environment (from substrates or air) to crosslink and cure into an elastomer.

After curing, it provides enhanced bonding strength and exhibits excellent moisture resistance, heat resistance, and chemical resistance. It combines the advantages of environmental friendliness and rapid bonding of hot melt adhesives with the high strength of reactive adhesives and the elasticity and temperature resistance of polyurethane adhesives. It demonstrates high reactivity and excellent adhesion to a wide variety of substrates.

Pre-treatment / Application Instructions:

1. Preheat the adhesive to 120–130°C for 20–30 minutes.

2. The surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry, and free of oil or grease.

3. Recommended dispensing conditions: 130°C, air pressure 2–6 bar, needle size #19–23. Higher temperature and pressure increase the dispensing volume. Purge 25 px before dispensing.

4. The adhesive has pressure-sensitive properties, allowing longer assembly times.

5. After dispensing, allow the adhesive to cool to room temperature before cleaning any excess from the edges.

6. Any uncured residual adhesive can be removed with a blade. For wiping, common solvents such as toluene or acetone may be used. Remove all adhesive residues before full curing.

   Precautions:

   • The adhesive should not be reheated multiple times. Once opened, use within 48 hours. The total heating time should not exceed 48 hours.

   • The heating temperature should not exceed 140°C.

   • Caution: Risk of burns during handling.
